What is a pre-wedding / engagement shoot?

I offer free pre-wedding shoots with my main packages. The shoots involve going to a beautiful location, which can be somewhere meaningful to you or a natural place of beauty. This is usually the first time I meet you, so it's a great opportunity to get to know each other and realise that someone following you around with a camera doesn't have to feel strange! They are always relaxed and fun, even if you're not used to being the centre of attention.

Pre-wedding shoots do not need to take the form of a walk, and I have provided studio and family shoots for clients who would rather (as can be seen below). It is essentially a free shoot where you get to know me and receive some lovely photos.

What is your payment process?

I take a 30% deposit on booking. After this is paid, I am officially your wedding photographer. I offer different payment options, including receiving the payment in full once the photographs are delivered, and in two or three segments in the run up to the wedding. I am happy to be flexible and find a plan that suits you best! I then send over a contract and arrange a couple of calls to further discuss and plan your day. I give all my clients my personal number so that they can call or message me any time during the week.
Do you shoot on analogue film or just digital?

I often get this question as my digital editing style is heavily inspired by analogue film. This is to give the photographs a timeless look. You never know what technical advances the future holds, so emulating the film look is a sure way to make sure that my client's photos look great forever.

For an added cost, I can incorporate the use of analogue film into your wedding day if desired.
Are you willing to travel?

Yes - 50 miles of travel is included in all of the package prices. Additional charges of £0.45 per mile apply after the included 50 miles.
If accommodation is required, that will be added to the final cost.
Do you have an assistant or second photographer?
Yes - I always work with an assistant. As well as offering a helping hand on the wedding day, they are also experienced photographers so can capture alternative angles and even more moments.
What happens if you get ill and can't photograph our wedding?

I'm happy to say that I have never missed a wedding day. However, if this extremely rare event should occur, I will offer a full refund and assist you in finding an alternative photographer.
